Apply for the Fellowship Award (FAGD)

To receive the AGD’s Fellowship distinction, you must complete the Fellowship Award application by Dec. 31, along with the required fee. Applications must be postmarked no later than Dec. 31 to be considered for the class immediately following the application deadline.

Applications received by Dec. 31 are reviewed by the Council on Dental Education by the end of March. You can expect to receive notification by mail of the council's approval or denial by mid-April. The council reviews all FAGD award applications and determines whether they meet the requirements and standards set by the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

AGD Convocation
For more than 30 years, the Convocation ceremony held during the AGD’s annual meeting has epitomized the AGD's commitment to excellence in dental education. Each year, we recognize the accomplishment of many AGD members as they receive the prestigious Fellowship and Mastership designations. Families of the awardees, as well as all AGD members and their guests, are invited to attend the ceremony.
