Apply for the Mastership Award (MAGD)

To receive the distinction of becoming an Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Master, you must complete an award application by Dec. 31, along with the required fee. This fee includes a non-refundable $100 processing fee. Applications must be postmarked no later than Dec. 31 to be considered for the class immediately following the application deadline. All MAGD requirements must be completed as of the Dec. 31 application deadline.

Applications received by Dec. 31 are reviewed by the Council on Dental Education by the end of March. You can expect to receive notification by mail of the council's approval or denial by mid-April. The council reviews all MAGD award applications and determines whether they meet the requirements and standards set by the AGD.

AGD Convocation
For more than 30 years, the Convocation ceremony held during the AGD’s 2007 Annual Meeting & Exhibits has epitomized the AGD's commitment to excellence in dental education. Each year, we recognize the accomplishment of many AGD members as they receive the prestigious Fellowship and Mastership designations. Families of the awardees, as well as all AGD members and their guests, are invited to attend the ceremony.
