Self InstructionSelf-Instruction Program

Earn continuing education (CE) credits without the red tape. The Academy of General Dentistry’s (AGD) Self-Instruction Program is a convenient, hassle-free program that allows you to either "pay-as-you-go" or sign up for a one-year enrollment. The Self-Instruction program makes it easy to keep track of the exercises you’ve completed and how many CE credits you’ve earned.

If you're new to the AGD, the Self-Instruction program is featured in the bimonthly journal, General Dentistry. Each issue features three exercises, each worth two CE credits. You can use these credits toward relicensure (where self-examination credits are accepted), AGD membership maintenance, and the FAGD award.

  • Take advantage of our one year enrollments for ($150 for members, $225 for non-members) which allows you to complete up to 12 exercises.
  • Or call toll-free 888.243.3368, ext. 4353, to speak with an AGD staff member to set up your enrollment over the phone.
  • Download and print the article. Read it. Take the exercise online.
